I bought this shift knob... Did some searching prior to buying but came up inconclusive... Will it fit w/out modification? It appears to match our wood grain pretty well, but I have not recieved it to tell for sure.

No, it won't fit. The second gen TL and CL's shifter is actually skinnier than our 1st gen's shifter. How I know? I bought one and tried. Look for one that is for the 1st gen RL and you should be set. Ken posted a part number for the knob on here. Do a search to find it.

 

well that looks identical to the Acura shift knob I bought for my TL, Looks like a fit to me.

 

Stick to the 1st gen RL knob. I believe the MDX knob might fit as well.

 

I guess we will find out soon enough... guy said he sent it today.

 

Knob did not fit... however, I drilled it out and tapped new threads... Fits just like the stock knob now... tools fix everything.
