Post Wiper Blade Issue... Help please!

Hey guys, I searched the other threads but could not find a problem like the one I am having... So the other day it started to rain and I turned my wipers on... No problem, except for the fact that the high setting does not work!

Intermittent---Works
Low sett-------Works
High sett-------No Work
Wiper spray---Works

Also, you know how you can push down on the little lever, and the wipers will cycle once for quick wiping...yeah that does not work either...

I checked the only fuse I could find by the dead pedal... Also checked under the hood and could not find any other fuses... Anybody know what this could be?

if any other settings stop like intermittent for example then everything will slowly stop one after another. if this happens the problem is your wiper motor. u can get an aftermarket motor for around $80. u can install it your self or pay for labor. i found a place that installed my wiper motor for $85. thats the cheapest you'll ever hear for labor on that. most places charge $150 or more for labor on that. i doubt it's the switch which others might think its.....good luck

True, but I would think the wiper motor would go out completely all at once... The motor operates at different speeds, so why would one speed and or one setting go out at once... Think about it this way, your engine runs at different RPM's (different speeds)... you cant lose your 3000-5000 rpm range... i dunno, just in my experiences, a motor is either completely bad or completely good, or just really slow... my wipers are just not working on one setting so I'm gonna have to say I don't agree with this one, but If im proven wrong ill give it where its due

Thanks for the response tho!

same thing happened to me. in my case the slow speed stopped first. I used the fast speed for about a moth but then that went too. Next thing i knew the wiper wouldn't come on at any speed. I put in a new wiper motor and know everythings back to normal.
I agree with your theory but I think the entire motor will die eventually.
Maybee if you fix that one setting the motor will be saved but for some reason once one setting goes the rest follows.
Let me know what happens.
