i dont kno if its just my imagination or whut but recently i've noticed that when i start tha car it sounds like a squeek along wit tha engine running (very hard to explain) but its like a awhistle to tha sound of tha engine running.. only when it sits when i put it in drive it stops..I went to meinekee today ta have my brakes checked.( they were squeeking to but luckily they were juz dusty) and he said its nuthin' it might be a belt (HUH) hope not heard they are really expensive to change...well maybe its juz tha change of tha season or somethin i really dont kno im lost ...I have a 96 3.2 TL has any1 else heard this or have an idea whut it might be this reminds me to check when tha last time the guy b4 me changed his belts.... *whispering* i havent changed them since i had tha car 1yr & 1/2 ago i kno ikno i need to jump on it ...lil help please

 

Might be the belt needs to be tightend or maybe made a bit loose. Ask someone to take a peek. Its a quick fix.

 

had the same whistle effect, ended up just changing all the blts but in most cases its the alternator belt and it just gets a lil loose is what ive been told

fuck now that i think about it my does kinda whistle too... hmm the belts are new.. ill just adjust them then..

 

wish i knew how instead of paying ppl ^ that would make things a whole lot e-z'r on me

 

Yo sometimes you just gotta take the initiative and get a little dirty it can be a little overwhelming just lookin under the hood but you feel good once you get that first fix done tightening your belts shouldn't be that big a deal I haven't had to do it to my TL yet but I did do it to my LS Lexus the biggest pain in the ass was taking off all the decorative coverings but I wouldn't blame you if you didn't wanna even try it

 

i'll take a look if i feel i can ya kno...i ll give it a try but i aint gone try ta be no superman if i have tha slightest idea cuz this is my baby..lol
