what tires to buy?

I'm just wondering what you all recommend for tires. I have purchased some 2001 CL-P rims off of scoob5555, waiting to be shipped =) The stock tires for these are 205/60/16 V rated. Now I am basically looking for a good all season tire that provides good traction in dry/wet/snow of course. Good snow traction is a must because I live in Alberta, Canada and we have snow at least 5-6 months of the year. I have been reading about Turanza LSV/LSH tire, seems to have good traction in dry/wet, some say the snow traction is not that great even though ratings are high for it on tirerack. What other tires in the 205/60/16 are good? can I use a different tire width? would it be ok to use a H rated tire? Thanks!

I've owned many diff tire brands in my time. Toyo is good, BF Goodrich, Falcon, Yokohama, pirada, those are some good ones.

I did Yokohama 215/65/16. H-rated tires. Worked out good for my CL-P Rims. Tires are bigger. I like it.

yes! you sent me pics! nice ride, very clean btw. thanks again for the pics.

How do these tires do in rain and snow? I am more concerned with snow though. I get 5-6 months of that a year!

Also I drive a good 50k km a year or 31k miles a year.

I have a 96 3.2. First set of replacement tires I went with the Michelin tires that were OE - damn expensive. Second set I went with Dunlop Sport SPA2 - I dropped down one speed rating from OE. Consumer Reports had them highly rated. MUCH less expensive & I really like them in all weather. I would definitely buy these again.

Yeah, Michelin is just too damn expensive. Could it be that its imported from France or somthing? I am currently using Toyo Proxes 4 tires with the Servo rims, 225/45/17.

One other thing, check out the prices at Costco before you buy.

so true But once you try those expensive performance tires and you go back to the cheaper ones it's not the same.
