Look up any Honda/Acura press release about these cars, especially the 1st generation. It plainly says "Touring Luxury"

yeah... but why does this site say, "Acura's two- and three-letter combinations mean absolutely nothing. They're just completely made-up combinations of letters." <<<~~~ thats just WRONG!!!

The 1998 Acura TL sedan is designed to be a touring luxury automobile and offers a sporty and more youthful alternative to traditional luxury cars. A touring automobile is one that's conceived as a long-distance runner that has the power to take its occupants across the continent effortlessly and in great style.

Across the continent? Man, they've got great faith. Particularly since Japan is within the Asian continent.

Hey, my TL has been in every state on the west side of the US more than twice... with 170,000 miles and still going strong... I like to think that the asians have great faith... or could it be confused with "Honor WbroylesH-san"... lol... but really... i still need the east coast sooo i'm thinking of a road trip in the not so near future... New York... Atlanta to see the Braves...lol... but yeah... Across Asia would be about a what... week drive (7 days)??? lol... that would be a cool trip... i'll have to check mapquest to see how long it would take... still... great faith they have in their cars...

Oh and here's a question for the Ramblings section... Do you think that the asian people are still mad about the Hiroshima A-Bomb thing??? if so... do you think Honda is planning a conspiracy where every honda has a bomb in it... why you ask... because every house in the US has at least 1 honda... what if every Honda in the US went boom all at once... LOL... good plan eh???

ok...ok... correction... Japan and the Asian continent... of course you'll have to take some sort of fairy boat to cross some water... its not a Hummer you know... and even then a hummer can't go so low... unless she knows what she is doing...lol.. j/k but yea... a hummer can't go all the way underwater... but of course i'm talking about the old school hummers not these new H1 H2 craps... Well the corrections is done...lol...

And i apoligize for anyones feelings that were hurt in the process...

I've gone across the entire US several times. Once did 2800 miles in 3 days. Not one problem and I wasn't sore or tired after...

I'd say a trip across the Asian continent would take a bit more than seven days. Probably more like seven weeks.
