Lately it seems like my car just has NO power what so ever....


what could be causing this and what shuold I do?

 

The obvious ones in order of most probable:

clogged air filter
very low tire pressure
clogged fuel filter
bad accelerator cable

There's plenty of others but that would assume larger malfunctions.

 

Clean your EGR valve

Yesterday when I was working on my left foglight, I took out alot of my air intake so I could work on the foglight better, so thats not it.

I when I have my oil changed, my mechanic checks my tire pressure and fills the tires if they need to be filled.

Ill have the fuel thing checked out, and Ill look at that cable..


My mechanic said I need a new pcv valve, an auto parts store is ordering it for me, but I dont think it should make THAT much of a difference, should it?

did you make sure that the gas you have doesn't have 10% ethanol addded?

 

Also with the recent heat and it being summer, are you blasting the AC? I remember once a few years ago, my bro was wondering why the car ran so slowly in 110oF weather and I just pushed the AC button and she launched! Hehe, had to be there to see his reaction!

that type of gas makes a difference!? that could be it!!!

 

try puting the seafoam in your pcv valve or your break booster ..thas wat i did actually gave me some good acceleration
