Weird brake pad wear

I was preforming a front rotor change and found the inside left pad was worn on top and the bottom edges significantly more than the inside. The rotor has an indented flat surface all around. The pad and rotor fit together like this............

-----____pad______-----
----____groove_____------!center!------_____groove____----

the groove is flat with some minor etching in it. There is no problem like this with the out side of the rotor surface. The right rotor doesn't have this phemomina on it either.

I am having some shaking coming from the front end 75mph+ always thought it was somehting with the brakes....it does feel like its coming from the left front.......what would casue a rotor to wear in the center then not on the top of bottom of the pad?

Im going to replace both front calipers as its only a $90 dollar job. The dealership told me my right front caliper was "frozen" but the left front caliper is the one deforming rotors.

Checked the calipers when i got home from the dealer. Pushed the pistons back in the calipers and greased the caliper pins.

I didn't see/feel anything unusual. I'll replace them anyway, 220,000mi old

so to follow up. I had the calipers replaced this past weekend and I hope this solves my rotor destructing days.. bracket and hardware were all replaced....

oh and the heavy shaking from the front end during high speeds is gone.

when one caliper is stuck/frozen- the other side does all the braking and will destroy rotors in its effort to stop the car

You pushed the pistons in and thought that was a cure- thats funny!

a piston that retracks properly and has properly greased pins shouldn't be frozen. thought it was a cure, no. it was a test.
How would you have determined if one side was Stuck/Frozen?

and as of two more days of commutes there is still a vrbration perhaps i shall replace the rear caliper as well..

well i should say... A mechanic asked me to check for proper pin movement and press in the piston, to check if they worked correctly.
