Water inside the Car!

I get water from rain in the Driver's side. Is this covered under "extended warranty?" I have the ACURACARE, extended warranty. Anybody who had experience on this type of repair?

I do not know how water is getting into the car, maybe through the windshield.....

Help!

Mandy

is it inside the cabin? i had a leaky sunroof once so that might be a problem, check and see if it's wet up there. you can also check the weather stripping for our windows, water might be getting in that way too.

Exclamation Check You Heating Element

Hello,

Not to sound like a "know-it-all", but you might want to check your heating element. I don't know where there locates on the TL, but on one of my cars (Beretta GT---yes don't laugh) in the past it was under the dash next to the firewall. When it went bad, it leaking water and coolant down into the carpet. I looked for days and couldn't figure it out. IT SMELLED BAD! What happens is that it will leak, seaping fluid down onto the floor boards of your car. Depending on where one is located, they are fairly easy to change. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

You are referring to the heater core. It looks just like a little radiator and is almost always up in the dash for most cars. It does stink pretty bad because it is coolant leaking into your car. I don't think that is Mandy's problem though. Usually leaking heater cores will stink, cause the windows to fog up and the radiator will continue to lose fluid. Of course it could be the problem. She should check those things to make sure. It's most likely the seals around the windows. Unless maybe a previous owner drilled holes underneath installing stereo, or an alarm?
