^^ i'd say they are pretty much the same. honestly spark plugs arent really a ''power'' upgrade i upgraded mine for the running condition and overall better engine life.

stick with the correct plug for the TL, NGK Iridium

the pulseplug has been tested on gen2 and 3 with little gain due to their advanced ignition system of coil on plug

A car with plug wires and one coil will benefit more, and the payback would be 6 months to a year depending on gas prices

^ Our factory plugs are actually double platinums, not iridiums. However, since factory plugs cost $13 each, even Laser Iridiums are cheaper, haha. I change plugs very often so it doesn't really matter to me what material they've got in the tips, but I just switched back to Iridium IXs from Laser Iridiums.

~Cheers~

good NGK plugs outlast Denso (the other approved brand by acura) and cost less

I am gen2 and we had ngk platinum stock- gen3 got Iridium stock
Its ok to use the new better stuff- the car will appreciate it in the long run
NGK will give you 60k miles of solid performance- denso about 30- according to a hi mileage driving gen2 mega-moderator

Laser refers to how they weld the plug together, we are good with normal Iridium- IX for gen2, plain Iridium gen3
gen1- what do you guys use?

I just use NGK coppers and they work well. Power is good and gas mileage is also good compared to what most are getting w/ the 2.5 here. I don't mind changing plugs more often on this inline 5 'cause it is so easy and I like 'maintaining' this car. But on something like my CL-S6 hell yeah I'm gonna put in the longest lasting iridiums (NGKs) since it is difficult to get to the rear plugs.

Like I said, we use double platinums stock: platinum electrode, platinum ground. AFAIK, the Laser Iridiums have iridium electrode and a platinum ground pad, and the Iridium IXs, have an iridium electrode and an aluminum ground. I change my plugs roughly every 5-10K miles, which used to be every 2-3 months.

~Cheers~

P.S. My Civic has Laser Iridiums as OE-replacements. Go figure!

your kidding me-every 3 months? what you do do- run that thing on pure nitrous? and lawnmower plugs?

I realize what you had for stock-oh so many years ago before technology went thru the roof=
I wondered what the gen1 experts were using now

Consult the ngk website for great info on each plugs construction

^ Sometimes sooner, too. What can I say, I like to try out different plugs. Just like how I changed oil every 2K with various brands, Eneos, Amsoil, GReddy, Syntec, Mobil 1, and (currently) Royal Purple. I once even tried Quaker State! Never again, haha!

~Cheers~

P.S. My Accord was meth-injected, too.
