Vigor GS, LS, Std.

I'm looking to buy myself a nice Vigor as my first car! I've been driving around my dad's TL-S for a while now and love the car. Decided for my own car I'll get the older cousin, the Vigor. What are the diffrences between the std., GL, and LS? I'm assuming they are small, because it does not seem to affect the price.

Can you get Legends in manual trans? I know the Vigor's come in 5-spd, which is the only way I will drive a car .

Talking I got a Legend Coupe!

The Vigor LS (going by the Legend) would probably have all options standard & probably include leather. I wouldn't get a vigor, get a 2.5 TL (the Gen 2 Vigor )which is and looks a lot better. But a Legend would be even better.. 210 lb of torque, 230 Hp (stock), V6..... Basically the Legend is now know as the RL. It was Acura's top of the line model from 87 or 88(i believe) to 95 when they changed over to the RL. I have a coupe and it's to die for!

I would go for a 94-95 LS version either 2 or 4 door. They have all of the redesigned parts from the 90-93 Legends and the LS includes all options.. If u can find onw w/ low miles a 6-speed 2 or 4 door would be a ultimate find.. Hey check out www.legend.org and go to the legend forums.. There u can see all the different legend styles and mods that other owners have.. hope this helps.. any more ??? holla!

Sorry for the late post, was just looking up any Vigor threads since I used to own one.

Vigor GS: Leather, Power driver seat, moonroof, DSP stereo ('92 & '93 models DSP discontinued in '94). That was pretty much it.

Delete the above for the LS.

I had a '93 that I bought as a demo and drove it for 110,000 miles before the tranny died. Put in a used one for $800, then traded it in for my TL.

Up until the tranny died, I had only one repair done, a right front wheel bearing at 90K miles.

Hope this still helps.

yeah, getting a vigor would be a bad choice b/c you'll be dealing with a car that is at least 6-7 years old...thats the time when things start to go and get very expensive to replace, plus the fact that vigors arent made anymore, the parts might either be hard to come by or you will have to go to acura to get any parts for it.

a nice low mileage Vigor can be pretty damn cheap if thats one of the things bearing on your decision. For the money, I doubt you could find a much better car, seeing as how the Vigors are all going for like 8,000 and less these days. If you want to jump up one or two years to the 1st gen TL, you're talking another 4 grand at least. It all really depends on what you're looking for (performance vs. reliability) and what you're looking to spend. The 1st gen TL's and the Legends will outperform a Vigor, but they probably wont have any better options for the extra money. Do wish our whips came in manual, what a blast one could have.(just test drove a 2002 RSX-S, I wouldnt want to be the schmuck that buys that demo after I got to it)

Actually can you name all of Acuras current models ranging from the buttom level to the top level models. I always thought that the TL was top of the line.

Talking Well dont flame me if I'm wrong...

Well the Integra(base model) would be the bottom(because of cost).. Top of the line integra would be the GSR or the Type-R I think... Next would be a Vigor, Then TL 2.5, then TL 3.2, then RL 3.5 / Legend and Legend coupe, Then top NSX....

Now the line goes from 1. RSX-P 2. RSX Type-S 3.CL-P 4.CL- Type -S 5. TL-P 6. TL-Type-S 7.RL 3.5 8. NSX

Hope i'm right...

If your price range is between 10-20K and you want Luxury (most or all of the options) get a RL 3.5 96-98, TL 3.2 (97-99) or Legend LS or Legend GS (both top of the line) 94-95.... If you want a lux Coupe get a Legend Coupe LS also top of the line... I would say get the CL-S but it's pricey...
