you probably nees a tune up or an oil change... you should also use better gas that might help

For a 3.2, ummmm..

Have a through out fuel system cleaning professionally

Use the piston ring sealer fluid

Intake together with Tornado or Sprialmax (it works on me, the car runs stronger but the same on fuel using)

The magnetic fuel optimizer http://www.heartlandamerica.com/item....asp?SKU=93931
(don't know if it works but still have it on )

Do you know they have a recall on 97 3.2 that they changed the sparkplugs and one of the air controllers (not because of the sparkplugs but because of the controller, but they recommend to do it around 100k. I did it at 85k though, to make sure nothing wrong with the car.

And floor the pedal when you race hehe
