Hey, My trunk key doesnt turn with my genuine acura key anymore... nor am i able to lock the trunk from the handle on driver side..i tried lubes but no luck...well i do have a subwoofer + box in the back, may have loosened up things? anyone know why it could be, im trying to lock my trunk so no one would steal my sh!t in the ghetto block im in. 2.5 TL

 

So you are saying it use to work? I was thinking maybe you got the valet key. Go to the dealership and get a new key made.

 

doesnt make sense when you say your trunk key won't turn with youre genuine acura key. You are usually given 2 normal keys and a valet ket.

 

i had 2 main keys. main meaning it can be used for all locks of the car (ignition, doors, trunk latch, ski slot, glove compartment, and trunk). I was also handed this other key that can only be used for the ignition and door...nothing else.

 

That's the valet key.

I only got one key when I bought my car. Had to make duplicates at home depot.

 

ya it did use to work before, and i know about the valet key... maybe i do have the two mixed up, but i thought i was using the main key this whole time...im pretty sure i am. but ill try the other key
