Transmission Flush??

Hi Everyone,

Just got my first TL. a 96 2.5 premium with 145k. The ride is tight and I like the car a lot... but the shifting is a little rough. It sounds like the tranny might be a weak spot on these but i'm just a newbie. Would a transmission flush help this out??

Any suggestions besides that.?

People here recommend not to do a flush.
Do a drain and fill.

Make sure it's Honda fluid.

I would not do a flush on a car with 145k on it. I would only do a flush if I had the car from new and always did flushes. I bought my 96 3.2 with 51k on it and all I have done are drain and fills.

Keep it honda/acura fuilds. pricey or not but its worth it, if you want your engine to a lifetime, ebay if dont want to pay taxes.

you need 5 qts or 6qts just incase.

you may also want to change the filter screen.. check out this thread... just different part numbers for the 2.5 vs the 3.2 TL
