do you realize how bad that is for your car... neutral drops are something that no tranny should ever be put to because you are just making the flywheel spinn with no where to put the power to and that is really bad casue you are working your engine soo hard and its not being put anywhere

basically dont do it if you want a fast car get a car that is fast to begin with also should be manuel

Oh Dude!

That doesn't sound too good... I'd hate to see how much shaved tranny came lose on that day.

You should get your Transmission Fluid replaced asap to get the metal shavings out.

let me clarify what I ment by a Brake Launch.

By holding down the Brake peddle down while giving gas in Drive. (Brake, Drive, Gas)

This brings up the RPM to pre-torque the torque converters before letting the brake go.

I haven't done this with the Acura, but have done it with the BMW. I can bring up the RPM to about 2,500 RPM before it starts slipping (moving the rear wheels) launching. I'd guess the Acura TL would come up to about that much before leveling off and launching.

Yeah I hope you are saying that wrong cause as said above that is downright NASTY on any auto tranny.

If you wanna do burnouts don't do it in a TL. That's just mean They weren't made for burnouts.
