This is my issue, my right JDM tail light cracked. I need to replace it, cause it looks ugly.
I found a OEM tail light (US) for $15.00 and bought it.

Problem is, now I will have a JD tail on the left and USDM on the right.
I have been looking for a left USDM for reasonable price, no luck yet.

I need some ideas, with what I have in hand right now, what would be a cheap solution. I was thinking of heating up and take the USDM apart to remove the amber piece.

 

I painted my clears on my OEM tails, using the hobby candy red spray (all red), turned out OK, eventually sold the set and got the Inspires. One option would be to paint and make it even looking. Good luck.

you may want to contact go90... i think he is in your situation too... but not sure which side of his is inspire, which side is USDM

 

Actually sold the painted set for a decent amount and made the new owner happy!

 

The exact OPPOSITE, hahaha!!

Driver side is USDM/Saber, passenger side is JDM/Inspire. I don't have any more spares besides the destroyed Inspire for that side, and I was planning on swapping the amber inner lense with the Inspire clear one, too.

so you have JDM and USDM on each sides?
I am thinking about Mandy's suggestion and going to paint it.
I will also drill into the JDM one for the 4th bulb in the corner. I will use
socket from my messed up right side JDM tail.

 

why don't you two just get together and work something out???

 

Haha, that means that one of us will have to go to Saber tails/USDM while the other one is using Inspires. My plan is to move the amber cap, too, since I want the signal lamp to be amber. I don't need to give the cops any more reasons to pull me over, haha!

come to think of it, it's not a bad idea.

but one of us will have to drive without one tail tight for quite some time.
