Cool Strut Bar

I just ordered a front upper strut bar from www.powerteck.com. It was 60 bucks. He says it also fits the model Accord that shares some parts with our car. It should be here in a week or so. I will post and let you guys know when i get it installed.
He also has cross drilled rotor, Brembo. I am ordering those in two weeks for the front along with caliper paint. I think I am goin to paint them red. You guys really gave me some good ideas today while I sat here at work. Thanks!!!!!!

The bar is a front upper tie bar. The brace that goes over the top of the engine. It should assist the handling and make it a little better we will see. He does not have a rear tie bar. This would also make a difference. He does not know if the one from the Accord will fit..

I was doing some research on the Strut Tower bars about 6 months ago and I remember the guy telling me that seeing our hoods are so close to the engine they do not make one cause the Strut Tower Bar would damage the hood cause we have no clearance. If you found a Bar that works please keep us informed, I would definitely be intrested in getting one.
Next Topic Brembo Brakes, Brembo does not offer cross drilled brakes for our cars, I contacted them about 2 months ago and they claim that what people are doing is that they are purchasing brembo brakes that have the same dimensions as OEM parts and having them drilled out themselves. The brembo rep states that you should use some caution when purchasing them cause if they are not drilled out correctly, they could crack under extreme conditions. So just be careful. I purchased cross drilled/slotted rotors, I dont remember the manufacturer but I will find out and keep you guys posted if your intrested.

Woah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, thats real news to me. Especially since I was planning on gettng them in two weeks. So you actually talked to Brembo, and they claimed they do not manufacter for our car? So what is the guy tellin me from powerteck then? I am gonna call him today. Cracking under extreme pressure. Jesus Christ !!! thats a red flag if i ever seen one. Lets look out for some other manufacturers for cross drilled or slotted rotors then until we get to the bottom of this. Anybody know of any of hand? Brembo brakes are aewsome I am gonna be pissed if this is tru man.
...........Now about the strut bar. Like I said it is supposedly a front upper, I ordered it last week so I am expecting it. He says it fits because of some similar dimensions with the 95 Accord. During H.I.N in Atlantic city, I mmet a guy with one. I asked him what type of springs he had, cause after staring at his car, I noticed it s stance was jus like mine. And he told me he had an EibacH Sportline, same drop as mine. So the car is ver very much a distnat cousin, I mean our car is basically based from that frame. If you look at that car it is easily to see some shared similarities, in the overall frame. wheelbase, width, etc....
..... The hood of our car actually slightlty bulges up . I think it will fit. Where are you hearing your info from man?, I mean its good to hear concerns, but your making me nervous as sh*t........I will let everyone know when i get it and when and if it goes on. I will be extrmemely pissed if it does not fit!!! I think it will work out though, I dunno.........

Brembo Brakes: I went to their web site and sent them an e-mail cause there was this guy on www.Honda-Acura.net who was selling a set of four for like $300. So i went on to their web site to see what they look like and couldnt find them. So i called them up and they (Brembo Rep) told me there is no such animal. He stated that they DO make Rotors for our cars, but do not make Crossdrilled or Slotted rotors and have no plans in the future to make them. He then told me that This guy must have had them machined and/or drilled. He then told me to be cautious cause if there TOO MANY HOLES or INCORRECT PATTERN they could crack on you, so be careful. He also stated that if they were made correctly the would be fine, but they are not high performance brakes they are just standard rotors with holes in them and help inprove braking but by no means are they high performance brakes and should no be considered for racing.
Strut Tower Braces: I called A&H Motorsports (website: www.ahmotor.com) and they told me due to our hood line it we cant really install strut tower braces on our car cause as soon as we drop the hood down you will have a nice long bulge across your hood cause we have little to no clearance under the hood due to the placement of our engine. You can call him up and ask they are very helpful. That is why I haven't bought one cause I am waiting to hear if someone was sucessful in putting one in without major complications and then ask for their advice. So if you do get it and everything is fine I would enjoy your input so that I may do the same.

Dude sure the hood is metal but would you sit on it? Ans: No cause its thin. just like if you have people lean up against the car and they have a wallet in their back pocket it will make a small clean dent in your panels. When you drop your hood down, maybe not your car, but I know on my TL I have to hold the hood approximately 1-1 1/2 feet up and let it fall inorder to let it close, unlike my other car were i merely place it down and then push with my palm and the hood latches closed.
So what I was trying to say was that when you drop it, it will actually hit the strut tower brace and make a bulge, thats all. Ask the guy from www.ahmotor.com he had a toll free number, give him a call for advice, they are very cool and willing to help out alot.
