Question Stock audio equipment specs/info

Does anyone here know any info on the stock audio equipment a 3.2 TL Premium? I'm talking about brand, wattage, db, frequency, etc. I am curious becuase I want to do some upgrading. I love the stock 6X9's (they hit amazingly hard with my Pioneer HU) but everything else is really subpar.

I don't think my tweeters are even hooked up because my HU only supports 50 watts to 4 channels. Iy need door speakers with built in tweeters. I'm also going to get a 4-channel amp to power the door and 6X9s, and possible use the HU to power the tweeters (if that's possible).

But most door speakers are 60+ watts RMS, so I don't want to give the 6X9s or the tweeters too much power. That's why I want to know some of the specs.

Thanks in advance.

not sure bout the specs but when i took out my speakers they said 15 watts on them, and thats the fronts n the rears, and yes ur right ur tweeters as of now do not work because when u put in the new HU there were 2 wire plugs a big white one that u put into ur HU and a smaller blue one thats probably dangling there still, that blue one is ur tweeters and wat not. theres a way to get them to work someone here posted it before, u have to wire it into the front speakers i think not sure ill try n find that thread for u tho

There's no way stock speakers can handle 60w RMS. It's way too much. The 15w on the stock speaker is the RMS power. So I would safely bet that the system can pump out 15wx4 for the dash tweets, door speakers and the rear deck. I don't know about the mid-ranges though. The dash tweets are on the same circuit with the door speakers while the mid-ranges have their own channel so that's why when you get an aftermarket HU, the mid-ranges won't work.

Also, when you see the 50wx4 ratings on the aftermarket HU's, that's the peak power, this also applies to speakers too. Always look for the RMS ratings because that's the true power handling. For exapmle, Kenwood systems are rated at 50wx4, but the RMS rating is only 22wx4.

Ah, I see... I figured MOSFET to be continuous power. After some research, I see that my HU has a continuous power of 22x4.

So, are the tweeters 15Ws too? Maybe I can figure something out if I get new 6x9s, doors, and an amp to power everything.

I just put Pioneer 6x9 4-ways in the back and have some 6.5's Pioneer 3-ways that are going in the doors. After that is done my Blaupunkt Hamburg deck. So far with just the new rear speakers the sound is much better and fills the cab with crisp sounds, I can't wait to get the whole set-up in. Good luck, my 6x9's went into the back holes with no modifications at all.
