Would a 99 TL OEM Stereo fit in a 96?

Meaning , would the stereo it self fit in , keeping in mind , I would have to re-do the Wiring Harness.

no it does not fit b/c the later models have a bigger sized radio. in order for them to have an aftermarket deck, they have to have a custom dash kit.

and u need to remember that our 1st gen HU are internally amplified... it seem like more of a hassle unless you are looking for that OEM look...

I like the look of the 2ng Generation stereo system . I would do a aftermarket one if i could find a resonable double deck stereo. I dont like the look the look of the single deck with a face kit.
