Read all the threads it's starter time.. I've done cv boots and installed axels before on the car so no news there either- the question is that after a look at napa and others there is a solenoid and a starter listed- to anyone that's done this are they an integrated unit or do you need to purchase as 2 parts

All the starters I've seen for Acura 2.5TL were units w/ solenoid pre-installed. It is a separate unit that could be detached from the starter, but is not usually available as a part. Some solenoids can be repaired w/ new copper contacts, however I found the 2.5TL solenoid to be a sealed (crimped ends) unit.

If your problem is a clicking starter (bad solenoid usually), then a new solenoid should repair the starter. Solenoid problem is defined by repeated clicks w/ application of keyswitch to engage starter and may/may not finally engage.
