Speaker trouble
Speaker trouble
Hey. The front, right side speaker in my 98 2.5 TL has been making a loud vibrating sound while playing music. It started about a month ago. The music doesn't have to be real loud but when it's low it doesn't really do it. It's hard to describe because it isn't exactly static, it's more like vibrating and I have no idea why it's doing it. And it's only that one speaker. Does any one know why it could be doing that? Thanks.
Are your speakers still factory? If so it might of worn down and finally ripped. My aunt had my car about 8 years before I got it and the first time i turned the radio up all of the speakers ripped at once it was so weird. When they were ripped they made that sound that you described so I had to replace them. Just take the door panel off and take a look.
P.S. If you try and be smart and just take the speaker grill off it won't come off because there is a screw behind it that holds it to the door panel.

if theres virbrations just take the door panel off an check it. 1 screw in the handle and 1 screw in the handle holder and just pop it out from the bottom first and lift it up and its up to you if u want to replace it
My front speakers "crackle" and vibrate at high bass. I've ordered a set of Polk db650s from Crutchfield. They should be here on Wednesday.
I think most members on the forum have replaced the front and rear factory speakers.
