someone post pics for STARTER REPLACEMENT

Either my starter or starter solenoid or the terminals are bad. Turn the key, and just click. On the 4th time it started. Now 2 days later, wont start at all. Im pretty sure its the solenoid/ terminals.

Does somone have a link to pics and instructions to DIY?
I have a 1995 2.5 TL. Im not sure which year is extremely difficult to replace. sOMEONE SAID for a certain year, you have to take off the front left wheel and the axle to get to the starter.

Im fortunate enough to still have the starter working without any problems.
It should be that hard, just takes alot of F***ing time!

I'm in the same boat right now. It will go clickclickclick... sometimes, but sometimes putting on jumper cables makes it start.

Getting it looked at tomorrow hopefully.

I tried to jump my car but that didnt do. So i think the connectors are wasted. Or the solenoid is wasted.
Check this out: Autozone said a new solenoid is like $300. But a new starter (which of course includes the solenoid) costs $115. Im getting it today and having my mechanic put it in tommorrow. Hopefullly he can do it cheap

damn do DIY pics huh?

Thats wierd cuz sometimes my car will not turn over or nothing the first 4 times i turn the key, then it starts. I dont hear the clicking of the starter, I am wondering what it could be. I dont mean to threadjack, just having a problem similar to yours.

YESSSS!
I just got my starter changed and my car starts up good now. It sounds sweet. Sounds like a brand new car when it starts up. You know that whistle sound. Anyhow, it costed $120 for the starter and $200 for the labor. Thats a good price considering my mechanic has take take off the intake (i think thats what its called. Its the part that looks like headers) So 3 hours after labor, shes back.

WELL the warranty is lifetime whihc is from the starter's amanufacturer. Considering the location of the starter for the 95 tl 2.5, you either have to take off the driver wheel plus part of the axle, or you have to take off the part that looks like headers. I think itsw called the intake. Anyhow, since im a grade c mechanic, i was willing to pay the $200 labor rather than messing up my whole engine.

Just stumbled in... I will be changing out my starter next week, as well as putting in a newly aquired TYPE II Intake manifold, changing the diff fluid, changing the trans fluid, and changing the coolant..... I will take plenty of pics and post a big long DIY thread!

Front differential fluid, its usually like 85-140 weight gear lube that is used to lubricate the gears in your front differential... supposed to replace every 90k I think, Goto acura-legend.com and they have a DIY for the legends which i think is the same as our tl's
