Should I get these fogs? (HID)

I posted this in the 2nd gen room but didnt get too many opinions. These are Raybrig Type 200 HID fogs. I love the way they look and they are bright as hell. Too bad they cost $900. I've seen HID Vision fogs for $600-$700 but I don't know how they look turned on. I'm still thinking which ones I should get. Here you go...

i think they look a little big, and i'm not too sure where you're going to mount that thing, in the air dam? i have my piaas down there and they already look really big, i mean i love the fact that they give off a lot of light, but jsut make sure they fit and they'll look nice. i'm still an avid fan of piaas

I installed a set of HID driving lites for one of our customers.I do not remember the brand name but if you post a question in the second gen page the gentleman can answer your questions. The things were bright beyond belief and looked good installed. They used nicely made housings and Phillips electronics.Jens

I believe you installed Sylvania fogs in DniCeE TL's car. I'm not crazy about the way they look because they are a little big. Each fog is 6.5 inches wide. Did you see them lit up? Are they as bright as the pic I posted above? I'm really trying to research before I spend all that money on foglights. Are these them?

Don't you already have two sets of foglight on your car already?

I wouldn't spend anymore money... not on lighting because you also already have HID headlights.... So save your money.

That's my opinion. I could be wrong!

I had the Ion Yellow PIAA's but they fogged up and the mirror inside started peeling off so I got rid of them. The factory ones dont even count since they're in the headlight. I dont even turn them on because they look terrible compared to my HID's.

Let's hope that those HID fogs will be close to match with your HID headlights. If they are matched then I guess it's worthy to purchase!

Good luck. Let's us know what's up!

You really wanted them!

Just a thought, later on when you have some extra money and don't find a purpose for them, I'll be more than happy to keep them for you with no service charge

I just finished installing them. They are very bright, brighter than my headlights. They dont match exactly though, my headlights look very blue (you could see them in my sig). Thats okay because they're bright as hell! They even came with a remote that turns them on and off. I'm gonna take some pics later on tonight. BTW, I think I'm pretty much done with my car, I'm tired of spending money on it so I'll keep these fogs until I get rid of the car.

What happened to the old set of foglights (PIAA one)?

Recycle Bin?

Are they in good condition?

Well I had those PIAAs for about 7-8 months total (I think). First off, the relay blew out so I replaced it. Then 1 of them began to fog up with moisture. After a few months of the moisture the mirror reflector inside started to peel. Then it got so bad it hardly shed light so I just took them off and threw them away. I would have returned them to PIAA but I lost the receipt. I had no fogs for a while and those 2 holes in my bumber really bugged me so I had to get new ones. That was my 2nd set of PIAAs and the first set used to fog up all the time. I'll never but PIAA again.
