I still don't get it.... why the license plates need to be blanked out?
You see them on the road at all time ...................

here are a few reasons I can see why it gets done....

Say for example you piss someone off on here. They could search for all your posts, find a pic of your car and with a little bit of research show up on your front step, knock on your door and blow your brains out...highly unlikely, but one example. Or they see your tags when you are out driving and they run you off the road, vandalize your car when you park, follow you home...there are a million scenarios.

Or, you post pics of your ride on 20's or your bangin new head unit, amp and subs. Someone comes on here, does some research, finds your address and steals your shit.

In this day and age, the more info you can keep private, the better.

I posted some pics of my car in front of my fiance's parents house. I blocked out her father's license plate number because it can lead someone to his house...it's not my house and that's only fair. I only have front tags and if I posted pics of my rear end, I'd block out my tags too.

i realized that other pics that i had posted of my car before i never blurred out the plates haha...

so i said f*ck it with the last one and i knew everyone would talk about that, lol...

Its debatable for me, I like the clean look, but it looks a little strange since I am used to the other way

i think debadging the 1st gen TL doesn't look good until you mod it (lowering it and putting on some new rims).

yeah... I cant lower it because i have to haul my dj equip in it unless i get some extremely good shocks and all that, but its pointless to do all that to a 10 year old car.

i am getting inspires soon... so... yay!

I have smudges where the badges used to be.... will they come out with a buffer?

yeah, I had the detail shop take care of it for me, its amazingly clean.

www.detailsdetailsdetails.com if anyone lives in md, they do a pretty good job.

i wouldnt know about the whole buffing thing, i took my car in that place to get my car waxed and they waxed the whole car after they ripped the badges off, then they scrubbed the area pretty hard with the sponge they use to clean the car.

NICE My car is the same color but a 3.2 debadged and I have carbon fiber looking acura emblems. I don't put up pic cause parking on the street made my bumpers look like shit. Thinking of painting all the bumpers but then it will just get messed up again anyways

use scratch remover or rubbing compound found at your local wal mart or auto store

works like a charm, no need to professionals. the job is sooooo simple that u can do it just as good as *professionals* i dont think there is such an occupation where one person can proffessionalize in debadging cars. hgahaha

and make sure u use like have a penny size on a large area about 1 square feet only.
