Hi,
I finally decided its time to upgrade my factory alarm.
I went with a DEI 560XV that I'd online after doing some price comparisons.
Bestbuy had it for almost $300 bucks.
It has security+remote starting feature. So far I've installed it with no problem.
Everything works great.
Now Im trying to hook up progressive door luck.
For those that dont know what it is, it goes like this.
Press the unlock button once, it unlocks the driver door only.
Press it one more time, it unlocks all doors.
The problem I have is finding the Unlock motor wire/color.
I followed Directed vehicle diagram and cant seem to find it.
My question is, does anyone know where and how to find the Unlock motor wire?

what yr is ur car??? usually it is a wire that comes off a harness above the fuse box.. that where that wire usually is..

Its a 97 2.5

I used the Directwire vehicle diagram to try and locate the Unlock Motor wire.
The diagram stated the unlock motor wire is red and the Lock motor is White/red.
By the way, does anyone know how to check the polarity of a wire with the digital meter? Someone told me once but I forgot. Once I get this done, I think I'm going to make a walk through DIY with pictures of where the wires are to install Security/Remote starter. So anyone else ever install the progressive door lock feature or know where the Unlock Motor wire is? Thanks in advance.
