Second fan is not cooling Engine

I noticed that my car is running hotter than when I bought it a month ago. I don't know if it has to do with the previous owners driving habits. I drive harder than the average person.

I'm thinking maybe a sensor is dead or something. I will be driving hard for 30 min pull over check my fans and the fan on the left is the only one working.

Is there some way I can check the sensors or something?

Check the fuses first.

The second fan only comes on when the air conditioning is on. It is there to bring extra air of the A/C condensor, not cool the engine. If the car is running hot, there are numerous possible causes ranging from a bad thermostat to a bad head gasket. Have the cooling system pressure tested and change your thermostat.
