Seafoam

So I put half a can of TransTune in my TL on friday, and now I'm wondering if I'm supposed to get it flushed after that. I've been shifting into the gears and what not. I'm just not sure if I keep running it like it is or if I need to flush it since its cleaned.

Thanks in advance.

From the info here http://www.seafoamsales.com/transTuneTech.htm it seems like you would just change tranny fluid rather than flush.

So a drain and fill does need to be done after putting this stuff in?

^ after putting all that stuff in there you cant get all out of it out with a simple drain and fill. if i were you i wouldnt of done it. im assuming that you let it run in there for a day maybe less/ more then replace.

- im going just from what ive hear about it being risky because if could clog/ eat all the gears and stuff free = transmission failure

-my trans just hit 200k though so if you find success in this after some time please let me know. i would try this before replacing my trans when the time comes.. good luck! keep us posted

So Monday morning I changed my spark plugs and later in the day I did a drain and fill. Now my "Maintenance Required" light is orange and there are some really odd sounds coming from my car while I'm driving...

I tried seafoaming my car last time and i believe I did not do it properly. Can someone offer some instructions or screenshots on what to do? My car has been acting up lately, like when im in idle mode I can feel the engine shaky abruptly, more than usual.

LOL, I forgot about that thread, seeing it another time I did it wrong. Also, do you guys know is it illegal to drive when you have massive amount of smoke coming out of your car?
