Exclamation safe to drive?

hey guys i was workin on my car putting in a new stereo and put the hand brake on. in the mornin i got out and as i pressed the brake peddel to shift it into rear i hear a tssssssss sound like air escaping. im thinkin my car needs to b warmed up or w.e and let it run for like 5 mins before driving. as i pull up to the stop sign ..same thing... ttsssss sound and then it stops when i release peddel. my bro went on a rant bout how its normal n blah blah but ive had this car for a while and never heard it do that. it also keeps hissin as long as i hold the peddel and the peddel slowly drops to the floor. ive drivin my moms tl when her brake cylinder died and that felt different than this... is my cylinder dead too? anyone have this before?

Nooooooooooooooo.

You have some sort of hydraulic leak if the pedal's sinking to the floor.

Assuming your stereo installation didn't involved punching holes in the floor and through a brake line, you likely have a bad master cylinder or wheel cylinder.

Do NOT drive the car until you identify and repair the problem yourself, or have it towed to the repair shop of your choice. The money you save by not towing will likely be spent in repairing someone else's rear bumper!

Good luck.

Yeah, sounds like a leak. Get it fixed ASAP.
