rolling fenders
i had mine done. you need to be carefull not to chip your paint. it chips easy. my friend owns a body shop and i had him do it for me i paid 100.00 for rear only. its only needed if you have a big offset on your wheels or if you have 18x8's like i do. i would have some one do it for you just to be safe.

Yeah I've been told the bat works. If it doesnt you could always beat your car with it.
j/k
You have to roll your fenders when your wheels rub against the lip. Usually only happens to 18s with a low offset. I tried this on my car but I was afraid to press to hard. Its easier to show than to explain. Heres a link.

rolling fenders
when you roll a fender you are actually bending the lip that protrudes in and folding it upwards. when you do this with a bat it works well but also has a great chance for rust build up. when you use a bat it also chips the paint inside and thats where your rust deposit starts from. even though you can't see it rust will build up inside the lip. this is why i had mine professionally done. that way the lip was folded flat-perfect with the fender and sealed so no rust will even have a chance. hope this helps.

okay now i get it!
plyl: what i dont get is how you say it can rust? according to the link above (btw: links arent allowed to be posted anymore) one of the pics says to place that rubber piece back onto the fender and if that is done, shouldn't that help prevent rust? or is it still exposed after the rubber is reinserted?

TLballer: if you notice that on the tutorial the car was a Integra. on our TL's we don't have that rubber lip. so that is why it is going to rust. b/c when you bend the lip back it is going to crack the paint and leave the frame exposed to the elements.

rubber lip
my TL also has a rubber lip, well did. if you roll the fender with a bat you can put back the rubber lip, but if you chiped off any paint rust will start the build-up process. even though the rubber lip is in place water still can get under it and cause rust. after i rolled mine I tried to put touch-up paint there and thought it would help, but rust still got in the smallest cracks...Try under coating it after you roll it. when i did mine, my friend sealed it then under coated it. when it was done, it looked clean...............ply

Hehe, I work at a body shop and we get people coming in all the time asking if we can roll fenders. When I pull out the bat they get all freaked out.
It really does work and unless you dont know what your doing it will not damage your car. Nor should it crack the paint that much.
I also in some cases (expensive cars) use a torch and bend the lip up so it looks good.
I am trying to see if 20's will fit on this car. I doubt they will though as I see people on here with 18's that have rubbing problems. Guess I will just go with 18's as well...
Will 18x7.5 fit? What offset do I need? The tires will either be 225/40/18 or 235/40/18
I would prefer getting the 235's but if they will not fit I will go with the skimpy 225's...
Thanks!

I have 225x40 Pirelli 7000 mounted on 18x7.5x45 offset wheels and the tires rub on the rear fender lip about 3/8". I originally wanted 235's on 8" rims, however I got a good buy on my set.
Looking at the clearances on my 97 3.2TL, it can easily handle 235's provided you get the right offset. Good Luck!

another diy tip
i didn't have time to read the whole thread so if i'm repeating what has already been posted, i apologize.
a nice little trick to avoid and almost eliminate any chance of chipping or cracking the paint, is to use a bar of soap. just rub it all over the surrounding areas and it will "moisturize" , if you will, the paint. when the jobs complete, just use water and a towel for clean up. good luck
