Rl

What's up guys
I just want to know what you guys think about this?
My car is a 1997 tl 3.2 premium w/70,000 so far
and it runs perfect
I add the cl's rims so far the car has been great
but yesterday I found a 2000 RL premium with 58000 miles
silver exterior and I'm not sure if the interior is dark gray or black
bose system wood upgraded package and I guess you know what else is on the RL
they're asking 18,990
you think is a good idea to trade?
I mean I know the Rl is top of the line but my tl hasn't give me any problems so far (3 years)
what you guys think?

Acura RL's are so nice. I like the TL a slight better. But the RL is a nicer car. I wouldn't mind one.

No, it doesn't. The RL has the SAME tranny as the 3.2 TL we have. In fact, the engine is quite similar to ours too, it is bigger a 3.5 C-block V6 with a THREE stage intake verses our two stage, its got a lot of low end grunt to it.

The RL is a nice car, it rides different, if you like how it rides, go for it. You won't be disappointed with the quality of the car, the RL has a fancy type of Japanese wood in it, handcarved even. Telescopic/tilting steering, seat memory etc. If you CAN, get a 2002 or newer, they handle a bit better. But the 2000's are still nice cars.

In terms of tranny issues... certain VIN groups of the '00 - '02 TL's, CL's and Odysseys have had issues. The rest of the cars have been unaffected. (Not sure about the MDX... haven't heard about any complaints with it)

Enjoy!

The RL is a nice car but I've seen your car and I think it looks too good to trade for a "00...if it were me I'd keep it for another year or so and save up to buy something newer with less miles..

But if you do trade, I'll be glad to take those type s rims off your hands...lol.. just playin.

I dunno man, TL is just so much more sportier to me. Always like the mid-size sport sedan, and that's what my TL is to me (ALTHOUGH, I WISH they's come in stick, or at least a damned auto-stick for the first gen's, that's the only reason I'll never be able to beat my brother's '96 Maxima SE). My friend's dad had an RL, 1999 I think. Was a nice car, but felt alot slower than the TL does. Worse on gas than the TL too. Wonder how easy it would be to put a 3.5 in my TL....hmmmm...........
