Remote start Failure

I got my car with A Clifford alarm and it has a remote starter with some other stuff. But my problem Is that it fails alot now. The car makes an attempt to start but it just stops. and the car repeatedly tries to start itself but wont. It only works when i start with the Key anyone knows why?

do you actually hear it cranking and then fail??? or do you not even hear the engine cranking at all??? if you don't hear the crank then that means that your OEM alarm has not disabled the starter kill in order for the autostart to allow to crank...

if you do hear the crank, you should check the alarm system... who installed it??? is it a tach sensing remote start???

The OEM alarm's starter kill should trigger the horn as well. Try unlocking the car, re-locking, then remote start. That way the factory alarm is disabled but the remote start is running the motor and the Clifford is watching the car.

~Cheers~

YEa i hear it cranking and failing. It sounds like it just cant start. Its like the key gives it its turn all the way to start so there no chance of failing. U kno what im saying? its like the key provides more to the car then a push button to start idk how to explain it lol

you need to find out how the auto start mechanism works on your alarm... is it timed??? (like set to only crank for a duration) and it may just not be set to crank long enough to turn over... or is it tach sensed??? maybe it is not hooked up correctly and triggering too soon...

i know that when i installed my alarm with auto start, the tach line was a b!tch to track down... my god i must have spent half a day thinking i found the right one, then it wasn't then had to find it... (in the wire charts it describes the tach wire as a two pin blue harness on the passenger side engine bay closest to the windshield)

who installed it??? if it was a shop, bring it back to them...
