Rear View Mirror Vibration / Shaking Fix?
So with my system the rear view mirror shakes way to much. I was trying to make my dome speakers work to no success (I guess I need more detailed help then what other threads have to offer
) when i realized maybe I could do something about that shaky mirror. So here is a pic of the Mirror just taken off and yes I can place some kind of anti-vibration something or another between it and the car.

Here is a better pic of just the mirror base.

So I think i'm gonna cut up a DR. Shcolls foot pad or something and put it inbetween. Something gel like should suppress the vibration to the mirror. If anyone has any Ideas, I want to see them! Thanks guys. - Nick

I have a Galahad mirror and no problems with shaking, even though rear seat passengers like and use the massage option in my rear bench,
. It can be seen here:

Same type but 290mm and flat glass. I miss my convex...

I got it cheap from a friend, roughly $20 brand new. It just goes over your existing mirror but since it has rubber "socks" over the spring-loaded gripping mechanism, it helps absorb some of the shock.

So do you guys think I should buy that wide angle mirror and slip it on or try some Gel like stuff inbetween the base of the mirror and the car itself? I will go to ACE tonight and try to find something. I'll let you guys know what happens. Thanks

So I cut out a peice of Dr. Scholls foot pad and put the peice of square Gel inbetween the mirror and car along with some rubber washers on both sides and now it's alot better. It still shakes of course but not at all as bad as before. Thanks

^ The one I got, yes. The ones I've had, no. I lost my favourite Broadway one that I won in a bet when I was switching between the 350Z and the BMW... I didn't have time to buy another one, so I just carried it from car to car, haha! To be honest, that mirror was is better shape (and probably worth more) that that POS Bimmer... God 318s suck.
