radiator is leaking...

well its leaking from above and going to need a new one! I called Acura and they want 550cdn for the part alone, is that normal? I might just buy one from Canadian Tire, its about 300-350 there. Any opinions? thanks!

I replaced one on my '92 Vigor. It was a pain also, no manual either but glad I did it myself instead of paying like $250.00 more for "Labor".

Vicious, can you see where it's actually leaking from? I thought mine was too becaues I could smell anti-freeze, but it turned out just the cap had fallen apart and was no longer keeping a tight seal. Worth checking out.

One more thing....how many miles do both of you guys have/had when the radiator went out?

It is leaking from above/ontop on the passenger side of the radiator. I put some of this glue on there to see if it would stop and if not it would turn green, so yup its leaking alright! My rad cap is fine.

I currently have 270k KM.

I don't know if anyone makes a radiator patch kit or anything...if not, I'd try some JB Weld. The stuff has worked great for everything I've used it on...even on my stupid rear view mirror that kept popping off w/ those mirror repair kits. Anyway, just a thought. I WOULD start saving for a replacement radiator pretty soon though.
