Quiet cold air setup
Quiet cold air setup
Is there any way to get the benefit of a cai without the noise? I love how my engine sounds now. I don't want to hear it Suuuucckk air like a riced out civic.
Ideas?

but you could add pvc pipe to extend or lower it into the airdam or into a foglight opening. this will provide your engine with cold air.
Stock piping is already pretty much a cold air. The thing about noise and intakes is that a cold air is quite a bit quieter than a short ram already, and just having an intake (with no exhaust) means that you only have the noise if you are heavy on the gas.
Make a cold air and use a large filter in the space behind the fender liner. That'll help keep things quieter. I used a K&N filter that was about 9" tall and 6" across. Filters better, too, because there's more element.
~Cheers~
P.S. There is no way our cars would sound like a US Civic, even with the exact same parts.

I tried removing the silencer that's in the fender for a while once. I didn't like it.I might try it again though.
I really like that I hear NOTHING until 4000rpm. It makes me happy
