question for you guys.....

Few months back after getting my radiator, and timing belt, water pump fixed. my 2 fans in the engine started coming on, and never turning off. They both run when car is runnin, and dont turn off. When car is off, they are not on. They come on when my car is in the 2nd ignition, and the 3rd which is when the car is on. Any of you know why or what this is, or have any of you experienced this?

You know I had the same thing happen when they replaced my timing belt and water pump. I know that the fans will come on when the engine gets pretty warm. Even though the temp gauge says its normal, the fans will still come on. I have had the issue where if I park my car in the sun for too long, i will come back to the fans being on. I think its kind of cool cause that way the engine doesnt get too hot.

Mine always seem to run forever after I shut the car off, once the weather gets warm. Have had them come on to the sun too. Hasn't caused any grief yet...( I've had to change the battery, but that was cause of the system I'm sure).

Ya these aren't hurting anything I'm told, but still somethings wrong, and both fans are running at all times for some stupid reason.

Shouldn't be on all the time. One of the fans is only there for extra cooling when the A/C is on.... They come on as soon as you turn on the car?

my fans only turn on when im driving in HOT or WARM wheaters... and for about 10 seconds and it does it every 3-5 mins.. just to cool the engine. however... if its really hot.. then when i shut off the car. the fan stays on for about 10 min to cool the engine... the right fan goes on.. the left fan is for the AC........... but it SHOULD NOT go on and STAY on..

Shut off your climate control and see if there is any difference.

I've been reading on this board for over a year and finally registered. I'll tell you exactly why your fan runs all the time because it happened to me. There are two identical plugs near the fans - one for power steering and one for the fans. The plugs have been crossed. Once you switch them back, you will likely notice the fans never come on because the fuse is blown. You'll have to replace the fuse right behind the driver side front light to correct the problem

ya I did try that, I unhooked 2 plugs, but, then if I left that, then if my car overheated my fans wouldn't come on, so not good. I'm taking it into my mechanic Friday, hes going to fix it for cheap.

Mike, Gator is saying to switch the plugs, not just unplug them. They are plugged into the wrong sides each. Swap them, change the fuse and everything should wirk fine!

Exactly, Some dumbass at tire kingdom here did that to my plugs and it took them a week to figure out what they screwed up. The only thing it will cost you is the relay/fuse that will likely need to be replaced.
