question about tapping to back up lights fuse

i want to install a back up camera to my navi system but the reverse signal was never tapped into in the first install. i need to do this if i want the camera to turn on everytime i back up automaticly. my question is... would it be possible to put an add-a-circuit to the back up/meter fuse under the dash and it will work? will it turn the camera on everytime i back up in reverse and turn it off everytime its not in "R" (reverse)?? if it wont work... where is the wire under the dash i need to tap into?? is it under the center console? if so which wire!?!?! lol. please just let me know my options... thanks ppl!

the easiest way is to run a signal wire and connect it directly to the reverse light bulb housing wire.
its either going to be a positive or negative. thats how i did mine.
