Problems Starting

i was wondering if any else has this problem; the car requires several attemps before starting? if so, has anyone fixed this problem or know what the problem is?

yeah i've been having that problem. one solution i found was to leave the key in the third position is it? you know when you turn it so that it's right before you start it. like the power comes on for the AC and the radio, etc. and then wait a few seconds, then crank it.

I haven't had problems with starting the car but rather when I crank the ignition it revs for like 2 seconds and then starts...is that normal?

Yup, had the same problem. If it didn't start on the first crank (about 2~3 seconds), then it immediately stared on the second crank. It didn't seem major, so I didn't focus on it much, but I inadvertently seem to have fixed the problem anyway. Its quite simple.

How long have you had your spark plugs? Upgrading and putting in new plugs did the trick for me; my stock plugs had about 35K on them.

i don't think its the spark plugs, because I just replaced them with Denso Iradiums. i had this problem before i changed the spark plugs.

I wouldn't sweat it since all of us seem to have almost the same problem. Maybe they aren't installed completely correctly??

i have money on a faulty starter, or just an old one that needs to be replaced. i don't think it's getting enough juice to engine to start it. that's why if you leave it in the II position or whatever for a little bit it allows the starter to charge up. it fixed my problem.
