problem with my alarm

Hi az, my alarm is getting annoying. It didnt come with a remote so I use my key to unlock my car. But sometimes when I unlock my car with my key the alarm goes off and I have to keep unlocking it to turn off the alarm. It gets pretty annoying as it doesnt always do it. Anyway I can fix this? Thanks

Get a remote, they have fairly cheap generic ones on eBay and I can verify that they work. If you do buy them, pm me about programming. My instructions are easier to use than theirs.

We even 'customized' ours with a label that covers the unused buttons:

No issues at all. We've been using them for a little more than 6 months.

You have to be careful now... if your car didn't come with keyless entry then getting a remote will do you nothing. Likewise, if is equipped with keyless entry then you have to figure out what system it is in order to get the correct remote. I think 2.5TL's and 3.2TL's uses different systems, too.

I wasn't aware that some of them came w/o keyless entry. As far as the compatability of this remote, it's my understnding the these will work on both.

This is just kind of a late follow up. Apparently, according to my manual, only 3.2TLs have keyless entry.
