It is recommended to use Honda Genuine Fluid. I believe it's about 4 - 6 bucks a bottle. Just as how our engine act differently with 89 gas octane compare to 92 (the recommended)

Go to your local Autozone or Auto shop and you can find some specially for import vehicles if i remember correctly... when my idler failed i had to remove the line for the PS to change the belts etc... So i ran to my local Autozone and got myself some PS fluid...

You can go to your stealership and get some... or the honda stealership...

BTW: it took 1 and 1/2 bottles of it... so if your just low... buy one... if you spilled some like i did... buy 2...

It really does act differently with higher octane. I got my TL about 6 months ago and have used 89, but the other day I put in 93 and MAN, what a difference.

About 5 bucks... I'll get the receipt when my wife comes home... she checked out while i took my baby girl to see the flowers in the garden center...

Rolex??? I wish... i'm not that rich... Citizen... $100.00 at JCPenny's

BTW: The differance in ocatane... even if i only have 2 bucks in my pocket... i don't care... its premium regardless... I wouldn't put anything else unless it was an emergency...

How about brake fluid? I'm thinking of getting the brake fluid changed. Does Honda Brake fluid make a difference or will any generic DOT 3/4 do? What have you guys used?
Thanks!

Hey Spooky, where did you buy the license plate frame for the 2.5TL? I've been looking for one since quite a bit and i ended up buying a generic chrome plate that says Acura. But I wouldn't mind spending on a plate customized for the 2.5 if I can find one.

i find it amazing that in such a 'small' picture, there have been so many details asked about lol. nice that others have a mind for detail!

Its a custom plate...

I got it at a store that makes the custom plates called "Poetic License" here in town...

you can run most any ps fluid.. Ive NEVER had any issues with it..

Ive completely built a rack also.. I had a custom ratio type r one with quaife gears in my CTR car.

Honda fluid is good, most of it is just penzoil, valvoline, or quakerstate rebadged in a fancy bottle though.

The only fluid thats crucial to use is honda mtf, and even then its better to use GM synchromesh anyhow..Let alone if you have an aftermarket LSD, then use the synchromesh friction modified..
