positive wire gauge question

hi guys, anybody know the wire gauge size from the positive battery terminal? i tried searching but couldnt find anything. the reason im asking is because i had to bend the stock connector to fit the optima battery post and it just doesnt look right, so im gonna get a new one. thanks in advance.

Actually I would probably guess that it's 8 or 4 gauge. 0/1 gauge is VERY thick... You could always run something thivker than stock, it wouldn't hurt!!

yeah, i was confused because most of the terminals i was thinking of only had connections for 4 or 8 gauge. So i thought 4 would be a pretty safe bet. But then i saw some that had a 0/1 gauge connection, so that threw me off. Okay, i'm gonna put my money on the 4 gauge. Thanks for the help guys.
