Whats up fellas...and ladies,

Just wanted to post pics of my lights.

I finally took out the yellow cover on my fogs and got new fogs for the bumper. Actually, there not installed yet...there just sitting on the mounts. I had them installed a while ago, and when my blinker light went out I couldn't get to it cause my fogs were in the way. So I took them off myself and couldn't get them back on. I'm having someone do it tomorrow. I only took one yellow cover out so far because I'm still deciding what color I want to keep them. Here is a pic of all my lights on:

one more...just bottom fogs and headlights. Now all I need to do is do the wiring so I can have my factory fogs w/ just parking lights.

Looking very good. In the pictures, it looks like that you removed both yellow cover caps. But anyway, why can't you put the bumper fogs back on after you took them off to get to the blinker? hehehe

Did you lower your car? It looks lower without wheel gaps.

That's a good question, Maxx. I just can't get the mutherfuccers back on...I've tried but I think I lack the proper tools. Anyway, Hers the thing....I NEED ADVICE....Should I have the,m mounted closer in to the middle...about 3 1/2" inward on each side...or leave them where they are????

But then if I leave them there...I can't get to the blinker or p/k lights w/o taking off the fogs. FFFFUUUUU#*%$%@$$&!!!!!!!

Can someone photoshop my fogs and move both of them to the left a little bit.

Anyway, those fogs are mounted too close to the blinkers. You cant unscrew the blinkers without taking the fogs off right? That really sucks bro. What a pain in the a$$. Just be sure you put good bulbs in your blinkers and you should be alright. I've had Polargs for a while and I pretty much never take the blinkers off. I'm dying to get LED blinkers. Another thing, if you have those fogs moved, you're gonna have 2 extra holes in your bumper. I have them now too because I had HID fogs but I got bored and took them off. Good luck. I can't believe those idiots mounted them there! Oh well, I'm leaving in a couple of hours to get them put on right...i will probably move them in.

One more thing, do you think they look stupid where they are right now?

It looks fine where they are now. It would be better if they mounted the fogs a little bit inward away from the blinkers. Best solution now is to get a good blinker bulbs like POLARG or PIAA, then you wouldn't have to worry about accessing the blinkers oftenly. Car still looks good, DFUNKMASTER... good luck.

Got em moved in...they only charge me $27...not bad, huh?

Suggestion:
Remove the yellow caps on both and replace the bulbs as well.

They look much better that way. Definetly take off the other yellow cover and make all your lights Superwhite. Looks good man. :smokin:

Thanks fellas....yo, I think we should have a gallery for just the 1st gens. I know this has been brought up before, but WTF. The "Gallery" has way more 2nd gens compared to our sweet 1st gen TL. I know people r reprezetin their pics and all, and they put some in there, but we need a gallery for just us.

maybe we could just have a topic that posts all of our whips, i think somebody already tried that.

i think i'm the only one who still has the yellow condom on my car. i personally like the yellow in our stock fogs. reason? 1. it makes it stand out once in awhile so that not everything is galring white. 2. it does what it's designed for, helps you drive in fog.

Hehe. Have you ever driven in the fog with HIDs? You can see everything and you see the beams coming out of the lights. I love the fog.

ohh definatly i live when the color hits the fog it makes it look soooooo purple

i havent driven with the hid's in snow looks like i will have to wait till next year

I drove my car in the snow last year when I had normal HIDs and the snow glowed blue. I havent driven my car in the snow with the 6000Ks. I dont drive it in when it snows anymore.

96TL...I did the wiring on my fog lights and now my dash lights don't come on. Everything works fine except for that. Any ideas??

Did you tap the correct wires? I think the red with silver dots and the red with a thin blue stripe. Were those them? Do the fogs work without the headlights? Check ALL the fuses in the car.

yeah, I did it right. But I screwed up at first and cut the wrong wire, but I thought I put it back. The fogs work without the headlights...just my dash lights don't work. It's weird cuz when all my lights are off my transmission indicator lights go on, but when I turn any lights on, the light goes off. Maybe I left a wire hangin.

Wait. You cut the wires? No, you have to leave the original wires connected and just make those 2 touch each other. I used one of those wire tap things you can get from an auto parts store. Just strip each wire a little bit and maybe you can use a small piece of wire to connect them. Check all your wires again.

I got all the wires hooked up right, but my dash lights still won't come on. This is ginna sound stupid but where is the fuse box on our car?

DFunk,

Check to the fuse man - You blown the fuse while connecting the wire. I recommend:

1. You undo all fog rewire modification <--- You could have tapped the wrong wire.
2. Check fuses (Under the hood and under interior by the brake pedal) <--- I'm sure there is one blown.
3. Check to see if everything working as normal.
4. If everything is working normal, then rewire the fog lights to come on without head lights.
