I called around the local shops around here to ask about connecting my factory fogs to my parkings and the only problem I had was that one guy didn't want to do it cuz he said he didn't want to void the warranty so he referred me to his friend. His friend did the job but the only thing is that there is no way i can turn them off..........the button to turn on/off the fogs doesn't work anymore. <--but that's fine with me. it cost me $150 for the guy to do it.....his reason was that the wiring on a TL is a B*tch!! It took him an hour, hour and a half. Oh it's cool, I have an aftermarket alarm and when you activate it, the parking lights flash ....and now that i have the fogs connected with the parking lights.....the fogs flash too! it's COOL especially at night!!

 

Yup, car is looking good! Why is the wiring on the TL so bad neways??? Lighting, Sounds, everything is hard to wire...

 

You must be s-h-i-t-ting me, it only take 15 min to do the wiring, with the fog switch working.

 

Hey 2.5TL96, did you do it yourself? I can I get my switch working again? and what kind of bulbs did you use on the side of your headlights.......?

And I had piaa super plasma for head light, and the rest of the clear lens and fog is prolarg. I don't think you need any special bulbs behind the red and yellow lens, because it won't make a difference.

As for the fog re-wire, I did it myself, I just add the parking light power source to the fog relay, so fog will stay on with the parking lights or the low beam, when the hi beam is on, it will cut off the ground on the fog relay and turn off the fog. All I need is to find the wire and groung it to the car.

 

yes i doesn't take that long to rewire the fogs....um i think maxxt and and dbox had a section on how to do this very easy....i don't think i spent more than 15 minutes to do mine.

man, i'm sorry to say but you got ripped off!! $150 just to rewire your fogs?? that is ridiculous. they had a post that told you how to do it. all you had to do is just look it up in the search box. all it consists of is taking a connector clip and hooking it up to two wires underneath your dash. and it costs well under 150.

Idid same kinda thing in my 97 Max. I can still use my fog switch when my parking lights are on.. i will try on my TL tonite.

 

Are those the $400 inspire tails or you converted them to clear by ur self? like my max's

i bought the inspire tails, but when you get it there is STILL a yellow cover inside.........i took it out and just placed a white bulb to have the all clear look.
