Nice.

In retrospect I would have gotten white. Black is sooo high maintainence.

Good job on the shiftgate

Good looking car!!

Ken, you should've known black is the worst color for a car, in terms of maintenance!! You're the know-it-all guy!! Jeeze...

But a well detailed black car is so much more rewarding then any other color

it's the most hassle and most rewarding...gotta have trade-offs. if it was too easy, everyone would have the same color car. people with black cars are just really happy on nice days and really sad on crappy days (weather wise). you know'm when you see'm.

Haha...I wish I could but my car is very clean now. Well...the car has been bombed in 5 or 6 places by low flying birds earlier today but I've already got rid of them with QD so if you want to see a dirty pic of my car, it'll be a while.

Dark colors are better

What are you guys with dark colors using for your detailing? My upcoming combo should look very nice, and remove a lot of swirls....

Seeing Wolfpack Bill's pictures made me realize something that you all have probably known for a long time: the 3.2 has a different hood than the 2.5. I just now noticed that.

yea they are different , thats y the grills from them are different. i like the "smoothness" of the 3.2 hood, makes it stand out from other cars w.o that line goin across the front.

the 3.2 also have hydro pumps for the hood. I wish our cars had that.

Heh...no you don't. The hydralics are pretty expensive. My Explorer had that and when they're worn out, watch out. That hood can do some damage if you're under there. Been there, done that, bought a couple of t-shirts. Before I sold my truck, I used a broom stick to hold it up because I was too cheap to replace them.

Yeah, the 3.2 hood is a little sweeter than the 2.5. That's not to say that the 2.5 is ugly or anything.

the hydraulic struts are $20. a peice at autozone, there not that bad.
have you ever been under the hood and not know the hood struts were shot? yeah well that latch on the hood spearing you in the small of your back really sucks ass.

I initially didn't know. It was staying up until after maybe 5 minutes because I was changing out the blower motor controller in my Explorer. Thankfully, I was at the back of the hood (near the windshield) and there're thick padding so I didn't get hurt very bad. I think I can imagine if you stand at the front of the car and that hood slams down on ya. OUCH!!!!!

I've had that happen to me plenty. My brothers camry goes through hood shocks like nothing. Oem or aftermarket. I had it fall on me a few times. My friends legend has blown hood shocks too and when I was running wires for his system he failed to mention the hood shocks until it fell on me.
