passenger side A/C not as cool as drivers side
passenger side A/C not as cool as drivers side
'97 3.2 TL
I just noticed that when the A/C is on the air coming out of the passenger side vents is not nearly as cold as the drivers side. The air flow is the same but there is a distinct difference in the temperature.
Anyone know what's causing that and what the solution might be?
Thanks.

It indicates the refrigerant charge is low. Part of the evaporator is warm, part is cold. System may have a leak or needs additional refrigerant and lubricant. A good AC shop should be able to check the system for leaks and recharge as needed.
good luck

Update -
I bought a can of refrigerant with a built in pressure gage and it showed the system was low. I added per the instructions and although the pass. side is still somewhat warmer than the drivers side, it is blowing much cooler air than before.
It's been a week since I did it and it's still holding the charge (as best I can tell).
