Hmm, I'm extremely interested in the 2.5 CAI, how hard is it to install?

 

You basically unbolt/unscrew like 7 bolts/screws to get the bumper off. Then, you need to remove the stock airbox (a few bolts) and then just hook it up. Prolly take you about an hour to an hour-and-a-half. There is a powerpoint I made uploaded somewhere which will tell you how to do it w/pictures.

 

Any noticable increase in performance or sound of the engine?

EDIT: Also, does it come w/ a bypass valve, or whatever it may be called. I remember when I had my Legend, that the CAI needed a valve to keep water out on rainy days to keep from ruining the engine.

 

The CAI does come with a bypass valve. The performance, in my opinion, is better. No noticeable decrease in gas mileage etc.. The engine is louder, especially with my exhaust on there. Let me see if I can find where the vids/powerpoint is...

 

I also have 2 stock tails. The passenger side is in mint to near mint condition. I dont think there is anything wrong with it. Im looking for $50 + s&h OBO.

I also have a cracked drivers side tail that can be fixed, but needs to be taken apart to do so. Im looking $10 + s&h OBO

Oh yeah, I have a passenger side mirror. It is in fair condition, with a little paint wear on it. Prolly needs some sanding and a new paint job. It DOES NOT come with the heated mirror, just standard power mirror. $15 + s&h OBO.

Remember, its not real wood. it's plastic, but it goes really well with the wood trim, and even better if you chromed out your shift plate.

The tails are stock. The one is in perfect condition, used, but perfect really (passenger). The drivers is cracked and a little banged up. Both together: $50+shipping. I was gonna open them up and take out the amber, then do a light smoke to the clear part..

ummm... is there a reason why the check engine light is turned on in your video about the CAI?? did it turn on cause of your cai?
