Painting calipers, need color advice

Hi folks,

I'm starting to mod my 96 Silver 2.5 TL and could use your advice on colors for when I paint my calipers. I'm trying to decide between silver or black, leaning towards silver. I'm not trying to make things flashy with red/green/yellow paint, etc.

My car is the granite silver color with 18" Konig Appeals (silver machined face). I plan to get Rotora slotted rotors.

Here's a link to the wheel: http://www.konigwheels.com/images/125_b.jpg

Your color opinions please!!

Thanks!!!

i personally think painted calipers are ghetto.. ive never seen any other luxury car enthusiast paint theirs. my cousin did it to his 1st gen TL and the paint starts to peel off. if you like it, power to you. post pics when done

I did it to my Accord, but I kinda agree shouldn't do it to a luxury car, but then again it could look good.

Some of the 2nd gen TL's have it done, and it doesnt look too bad. Of course, they also have many goodies to make it less luxurious and more sporty...

I dunno, I did mine, and I think they look pretty good. I used a mettalic blue with a coat of the fake chrome under it to bring it out. I think it came out pretty good, you guys can be the judges tho...here are some pics.

i think if anything black will look good but when it comes to painting stockers it just doesnt look as good as a big brake kit which it is trying to simulate.

I agree it doesn't look as good, only reason I am NOT doing big brake kit is because I have to put on stock rims for winter 5 months out of the year, not about to be changing rotors and calipers back and forth...would be a real pain. Otherwise I would do big brake kit for sure....6 piston brembo's oh oh oh!!!
