Oxygen Sensor

!998 3.2TL - Bad Oxygen sensor
Which oxygen sensor are you replacing? You will need a special socket fitting which cost about $10-$12 and a long extension (about 10-12 inches) if you are replacing either of the two front primary oxygen sensors. No extension required for the aft oxygen sensor. You may need a little WD40 to help loosen it. Good luck!
I just purchased a 1998 3.2TL with 46K miles and the check Engine light came on and the diagnostic test revailed a bad left front primary oxygen sensor. The question is " Should the oxygen sensor go bad so soon?" especially, since the dealer wants $316 to replace it. All comments will be appreciated.
