Offset on rims

Will rims with an offset of 48 fit? Do you think they will rub?

depends on the size of the rims. if they are mor than 7 or 7.5 wide then they will. i think.

man, there are too many factors to consider when worrying about rubbing. i also have this question..

i have a 2.5 TL, what offset can i get in order to not rub:

18x8 = offset?
18x7.5 = offset?
18x7 = offset?

For a 2.5, all I can tell you for sure is that 18x7.5 with a 45 offset will not rub because Trey has that setup. So do I but and I rub with peeps in the back but I have a 3.2.

'02 TL-S ,+45 ET, 18x8's. Moderate trimming of the rear plastic no rubbing with a full load. Also dropped w/ Eibach ProKit.

+48 ET should be fine. It also depends on what size tire you are running. You should be good with 225's and maybe 235's (what I have). Just be prepared to trim the tab and some of the rear wheel well.

A 2002 TL is different from a first gen. Plus first gen's have 2.5's and 3.2's which have different offsets. 2.5's are able to use a lower offset. 2nd gen people are able to run 18x7.5 +45 offset with 225/40 tires without rubbing but on my 96 3.2 with the same setup, I rub with 2 people in the back. Unfortunately when I first got my rims this First Gen Forum wasn't too active and I couldn't really find out anything. I researched what offsets the 2nd gens used hoping it was the same or very similar.

I have a 1998, 2.5 TL. The rims are 18x7.5. The offset is 45. Tires are Yokohama spec 2's.

uhh

i would not suggest a 48 offset without test fitting. The break caliper and the wheel will have little to no clearance. Yes the factory wheel is 50mm offset, but doesnt the factory wheel come only on acura tl's? Yes, the wheel is MADE for the car. Id suggest a 42-45 MAX offset wheel. I run a 225 35 19 with a 44 offset. 19x7.5 and the car is lowered over 4 inches. NO RUBBING unless the back is dropped all the way and i have 2 girls in the back over 110 each. Then it rubs going over bumps in a corner or entrance ramps to the freeway ballin too fast. Car handles like a btcc touring car as well, destroys my integra sedan with over 4500 dollars in suspension alone. I think its the wheelbase
