oem spark plugs
i'm lookin to redo the plugs and wires on the car since i don't know when they were replaced recently. i was lookin at just getting the OEM plugs. They are the NGK V-powers right? i can get them for like $2.12 at carquest, compared to like $6 at dealer. If these are not the right ones then i'll get the dealer ones.
and then i was looking at the neuspeed wires for the car....sound good? any other suggestions? thanks all!

Certain TL's qualify for an emissions recall, thus giving you new spark plugs. I think its mostly '96 and '97 TLs.

Very true, didn't catch that he had written that up there. Speaking of coils for ewach cylinder, I may have 6 spares to sell once I get my motor changed over... Unles they are the same as the typeII legend coils in which case I will be holding on to them for myself!!!

TL no more!
I bought 8 brand new NGK Iridium plugs from Ebay for $30. I changed the plugs myself so it's a pretty good investment. So now, I'll be planning to take my car in around 110k or 120k miles. That may be a long while b/c my '96 only has 65k miles on it right now, but I'll be taking it in for the CEL, even though I know it is a clooged bad EGR valve (P0401).

Copper plugs create more spark to tell you the truth. Platinum plugs are preferred only because they last a lot longer. Copper plugs will go to a max of 20-30k miles while platinum ones will last you beyond 120k.
Aside from this, there is no reason why a car can't run on either.

lol thought your were gonna call BS!! they were NKG but honostly I dont remember 100% which ones i used. If i remember correctly I used the coppers that the 2.5L said to use....
...verified
off of http://www.ngksparkplugs.ca/
both the 2.5 and the 3.2 can use the exact same platinums but the 2.5 also gives a listing for BKR5E-N-11 <<<<which is copper
quite sure these are the ones that im using
