OBD-II issues
I recently purchased an OBD-II scantool from Autoenginuity (www.autoenginuity.com) for some diagnosis on my Dodge which worked great. However, when I hooked it up to my 97 2.5 TL it was unable to communicate.
I also checked the Acura service manual to confirm that it is OBD-II compliant (ofcourse it is also stated under the hood) and I am using ISO protocol but it just will not communicate with the vehicle.
Has anyone come across problems with using 3rd party scantools on the Acuras? Do I need to check something else?
Thanks

Check the manual that came with the scanner, it may not have your car listed... People used to return those to my NAPA all the time saying they didnt work on their imports... Or, you may have to buy and install the software
