O2 Sensor Replace both 4 wire?

I went to advance auto to read my check engine light. Im getting a code for the 02 sensor near manifold. Anyways,
I bought 2 sensors because I decided to replace both at the same time.
My question is, are both of the 02 sensors on the 2.5tl 4 wires?
Because I bought the universal o2 sensors and I want to make sure that both manifold and cat sensor are 4 wires.

The compatibility says they will fit both manifold and cat. Just want to make sure. They should be here in a few days.

Thanks

Forward one is for sure. I replaced mine w/ 4-wire universal. Check of manual shows rear is 4-wire (heated) also.

good luck

Ok thanks, yes they were both 4 wire. It wasnt too bad a job, the forward one was more of a challenge then the rear one. Luckily on the rear o2 sensor heat shield the bolts were not rusted.

I had to crimp the connections and it wasnt too bad either. I changed the forward o2 sensor first, reset the battery started the car up and check engine light came back on.

I then changed the rear o2 sensor, reset ecu, and check engine light did not come back on. So far its been about 250 miles and no light.

What Tools?

I'm getting ready to change both my O2 sensors as well. Any special tools needed to get the sensors off?

Well, if you are also going to use a universal o2 sensor then just a wire stripper and some crimpers.
Also, If i remember right for the forward sensor by the engine, you will need a special socket with a grove cut out for the wires. Because i think i had a hard time trying to fit a wrench in there.

Other then that pretty simple job.

Thanks Fanir. I just swung by Autozone and snagged up the two sensors this afternoon. Hopefully the rain goes away tomorrow here in VA so I can take a crack at it.

Finally got the time to put those O2 sensors in this weekend and reset the CEL. Everything seems to be good so far (fingers crossed). I'm just waiting for the CEL to come back on since I had two other codes besides the O2 sensor stuff.

Sounds good hope it works out for you. Did you end up getting the universal splice style or just a plug in version?

I went with the universal splice style since the price was right. The oem plug in equivalents were like twice the price. I was confident enough in my ability to match up the wires and hook them up. The rear one was a breeze...the one up front was another story but I got it done.
